Inspired by other blogger's autumnal pictures, I thought I'd take some of my own.
So here are some beautifully coloured trees ......
..... here's one up close ......
..... and see this one ..... with a stunt monkee in it - well, it wouldn't really be me without that important addition, would it?
When you kick through fallen leaves, do you sometimes worry about little canine surprises underneath them? I do. But I'll bet no-one would be expecting this surprise on kicking through this pile .....
And worryingly ..... when we were posing this picture, it reminded RGH of something else .....
Oh, and here are a couple of a monkee doing what it does best ..... swinging in a tree ......
...... and looking cute .....
Happy Half-Term to parents everywhere - and GOOD LUCK!! - and to everyone else, Happy Monday - again. They come round so quickly, don't they? *Sigh*
ps. Sorry, forgot this note for Susan ..... I use normal stocking stitch on most of the monkees - reverse side for body and smooth side for snouts, hands and feet .... if monkeys have snouts that is. On No. 1 I used garter stitch. Hope this helps :)

Yay Autumn! Yay Half Term! Yay Going away for a long weekend in Dublin!
Happy Monday Y'all!
Has RGH considered therapy? It may be a good idea! Lucy x
Oh..autumn. Leaves in lovely colours. Then falling down. Unfortunately, the tree in front of our living room window (which I face when sitting in my favourite knitting armchir) is no exception...and it won't be long before the branches are bare and I have full view of a vcertain window on the other side of the street. Bathrobe man lives there..and he loves to pose either bare-chested or in a red satin bathrobe, standing at said window and feeling hunk-ish. Sadly, he looks more..erm..Woody-Allen-ish.
Before he moved in, I loved autumn though. Now it makes me shiver...
i think you'd better get MONKEES-r-US up and running *quickly*...RGH's therapy could well prove expensive... :)
(OMG you'd think by now i would know better than to drink coffee and read yer blog simultaneously! ...luckily my desk is wipe-n-go... also i am quite relieved to have already seen & enjoyed the film "american beauty" several times...since i have the feeling that's the kind of image/association that STICKS WITH YA...)
He looks really at home up a tree - perhaps you should get an indoor one for your brood?
The monkee in the leaves is waaaaaay more sexy!
I, too, worry about hidden nasties in the leaves... I expressed this to my RGH the other day and was eyeballed with a "how unromantic can you be?" kind of look. Ah well.
Phew, I didn't s(LIP) up and mention the monkee's mouth issues!
Such poetic autumnal photos, inspirational and colourful... with just a hint of monkee. Goodo.
Looks like the stunt monkey had a great time in the park!!
Yes, I'm another one who worries about finding dogs' unpleasantness in leaves... or broken bottles, hypodermic needles etc (some parks being more pleasant than others). Either way, a monkee would definately be the best option :o)
VCx
Beautiful photos and so pleased RGH can appreciate how gorgeous the Monkees are - I think!
Our trees don't do red - just yellow and orange, but they do it well.
Glad yo liked the comment - did it come across that am a Pennsylvania girl translpanted to Maryland?
RGH seems to have a reasonable amount of male-imagination so I'm going to have to disagree with the calls for therapy.
VC - now she has me a bit worried...what kind of parks does that chick visit anyway?!
My lips are sealed!
Thanks for the knitting answer....I can't wait to get started! Love your Autumn Monkee pictures!!
I can't think why I'm thinking of Tarzan now!
