Loyal Subjects. What a roller coaster ride this year has been.
There have been highs, there have been lows.
The lows have included the constant threat by newly knitted Stunt Monkees to take over my crown Santa hat, and some of the scrapes that I have been involved in, through no fault of my own.
Certain tasks that I've had to perform in the course of my duties have left me wondering whether my knit would ever bounce back. So far, it always has.
But on the plus side, there have been muffins. There has been beer. There have been people mistaking me for Daniel Craig wherever I go.
And for that, loyal and faithful readers of this mad woman's blog, I would like to thank you, on behalf of my creator and myself and wish you all a very
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
lots of love, Yours,
007 xxx
..... O-K then. Right. Well, I'm obviously ill and need to go and have a lie-down immediately. But before I do there's the small matter of this being my 200th post. Hurrah! And the even smaller matter of a giveaway. Again, Hurrah!!
Behold ..... some of my stash .....
..... see anything you fancy? Or have you seen any of the stunt monkees on this blog that you like the look of and would like to own yourself (or give to someone you know)? Because this may well be your chance.
In a break from my usual policy of not knitting monkees to order ..... I will knit one stunt sized monkee (sorry, 007 size takes too long) to a commenter's specification. Be that furry, smooth, mottled, multi-coloured, classic 007 stylee, or a combination of the above. So have a think about what you'd like your monkee to look like and leave me a comment with your colour and style requirements on this post.
There can be only one winner. None of that picking six names out of a hat. Oh no, no stress for me this time and I shall use a random number generator (even if there are only 3 entries) to pick the winner.
So, moving on to the rules. There are more this time :-
- Please come back to see if you've won
- Please leave a name on your comment (make one up if you're embarrassed to be reading a blog about knitted monkeys. I know I would be)
- Only one entry per person, please
I'll pick the winner next Sunday morning. So get designing that monkee and get commenting.
A few points arising from my last post.
This is for Stine, who doesn't know what a sock and pant mountain is ......
(007 shown for scales purposes)
Thankfully, a lot of you do seem to know what they are and indeed have one, or two, of your very own. And a note to E ..... I did cull some sock and pants ...... and it felt good.
Rosie and Lucykate Crafts ..... sorry, I can't report on Enchanted as in the end we couldn't be bothered to go (a lot of that happens around here). We could, on the other hand, be bothered to drive into Wales (paying over 5 quid to get in!) and go shopping for a new Christmas outfit each. Luckily only from Peacocks, so not too much damage to the bank account, but still, next time I'll stick to the original plan.
Anyway. How did this post get so long? I'm off for that lie down ..... Merry Christmas to knitted monkey lovers everywhere (for "Lovers" read "those people that are quite fond of ....") and I'll see you next year. If not before .....

Merry Xmas Kerry and Family. xxxxxxxxxx
Well I can comment on Enchanted 'cos I went to see it - it was total rubbish, don't bother going unless you have a 6 year old little girl who may quite like it. Good job I took my knitting along otherwise I woiuld have been asleep within minutes!!!
As to my very own Stunt Monkee to order - I would love one please. No, I'm not greedy (I have Vera don't you know) but I would enter him or her in the 'Oliver's Blanket' raffle. Who would want a blanket made by people from all over the world when they could own their very own stunt monkee? Ticket sales would go through the roof Monkee Maker! So if I'm lucky enough to win, any colour would be fine by me, thank-you!
Happy Christmas to you all (and really don't waste your money on Enchanted!)
Have a super Christmas and monkee-filled New Year! :)
Two comments??? I'm getting in there! De-lurking to say that I reached your blog through Little Cotton Rabbits and it makes me smile every time I read it! My kids (and I!) would love for one of your monkeys to reach us all the way here in Israel. I love HP17 the best - the furry ones are the cutest!!! Wishing you a very Merry Christmas, Monkey Maker.
Hello!
I am new to your blog by way of "Little Cotton Rabbits".
Please enter me in your stunt monkee giveaway. I think the original 007 style is my favorite....so consider that my entry.
Thank you for letting me snoop around your blog. I am still laughing after reading just a week's worth!
Shawn Mary
'007 Does Santa?' I'll be scarred for life after thinking about that one.
From one barmy household to another, Have a smashing Christmas and a Fab New Year.
I'll be off then searching the internet on how to hack into random number generators in order to secure a blue stripey or red monkee.
xxx
Merry Christmas to you all (even the pesky monkees!!) I hope that they don't cause too much trouble on Christmas Day and please continue to keep us in "stitches" next year!
I love the Stunt Monkees - I would accept any colour (and may even pass him onto Sally if I won as I know she is desperate for a little bit of monkee madness) but first I have to tell you of my issue with many colours - only 2 at a time can I wear or I start to twitch!!! Strange but true!
Have a great Christmas - hope all the family are happy!
Diane
oh! Oh! OH! Is that a ball of Sirdar click chunky in the variegated green colourway I spot over towards the back there? Ahem. Just asking is all...... not that i am uber-geeky about wool or anything.........
Feeling less than virtuous now about my avaricious attitude having just read Michaela's comment. Umm do you think Santa will still visit Trash Towers? I feel 007 may have influence there.
well, we do already have a little monkee living in our midst, thanks to my lovely friend Judy, who knitted her little fingers to the bone, but an original purplely/pinky monkee maker monkee would make my daughter go bananas!
merry xmas again.
Oooh a monkey giveaway ... yes please! I have printed off the pattern to knit one (from the linky-wotsits in your sidebar) but you knitting one instead would be much better for the Lazy Slut Disorder from which I suffer.
Merry Christmas to you and your family (knitted or otherwise) from me and mine. Have a great time. :-) xx
The very merriest Christmas to all at Monkee Manors.
I bought th yarn to make my little monkey a monkee yesterday so I'd donate my prize (should i be lucky enough to win *hehehe*) to Michaela's raffle too. I know, i know polishing my halo as we speak and very tempted to dlete this and ask for a traditional black monkee just for me Muwahahahaha, but no *slaps self* any colour you choose for Oliver's balnket please.
And a happy new year. :o)
Merry Christmas Monkee Maker and Monkee family. Please can you enter me for the Monkee giveaway. I love the mottled wool.
Thank you for the smiles you have given me with your Monkee posts; I loved the whacking monkey one :0)
Wishing you all a Monkee Christmas!
:0)
I'm not ashamed to put my name in public showing that I read about knitted monkees.
Please make me one. Any colour would do.
Hi Monkeemaker, Hoping santa luck will strike me I' taking a chance for my personal designed monkey ; )
I like the classic 007 style. Dark brown or black with beige face. With embroidered eyes.
Have a MERRRRRRRRY CHRISTMAS and a HAPPY MONKEYFULL 2008
Nathalie -purl,pen and paint-
I would love to win a stunt monkey in the classic 007 style - that would really set 2008 off in style! Merry Christmas to you and your family and also to everyone who loves reading this blog, we must all be as mad, er fun loving, as each other!! ; )
Merry christmas and a Happy new year to all at your house.I'm sure that it will be a fun filled time for you all.Chocs, booze etc.I would love a knitted monkee 007 style if I could.
Well I would be lying if I said I didn't want another Monkee Made of Knit to join this madly merry household! Don't know what colour yet though!!! Have a super-duper Christmas - hope 007 doesn't drink too much! Lucy xxx
Colin needs a brother or sister so please put me in the drawer....
OK, that is the biggest pile of knickers and socks I have seen in a good while.
I hope humans and monkees have a lovely Christmas....just remember not to pour brandy over 007 and set him alight....you do that to the pudding:)
I think to continue your plan of world domination MY number should be randomly generated. There should be a monkey made of knit in Australia. I am in the process if knitting one at the moment I have knitted all the parts - now the jig saw of putting it together ??????. However having an original Monkey Maker monkey would be fantastic, I think I would choose a pink one. Thanks for a great blog looking forward to more monkey adventures in 2008. Wishing you and your family a great Xmas.
I love your blog! Please can I enter the competition? I thought maybe my ideal monkee would be a demure one in natural-looking browns but as it turns out what I would like most is a stripy monkee!
Happy Christmas! Will you be having a raspberry white choc chip muffin over the festive season? x
Hurrah for your 200 post!!! Love your blog, my children love the stories about your monkees too.
I would love to have a monkee. Multicolor would be great!!!
Happy 200th! And you thought it wouldn't last...
We of WMK would like our stunt monkey to be patriotic - red/white/blue and include stars and stripes please (we are about to enter a Presidential election year here).
Failing that, extra hairy and brightly colored please : )
ps: Way to go with the "no for me - but for the charity" sob story Michaela. Very cunning indeed!!
Yeow that's a huge socks and pants heap!
If I am allowed to enter, I like the traditional brown and tan monkee.
Merry Christmas to the loons at Monkee Maker.com! As you know I have been covetting a hairy one for ages, I make far too many mistakes to attempt one like that myself.
Well done on the 200 posts. I have to try and coax the recent additions here into some wrapping paper over the next 24 hours, I'll try the tack you did on washing 007, see if these are gullible too.
Looking forward to more fun next year.
Kaz xx
Merry Christmas!! Hope you get a wonderful Christmas with your familiy(and the monkees too)!
*hugs*
a stunt monkey would be a great prezzie for my friend that loves monkeys and needs a good hug since her S.O. lives on the other coast.
i'm SO GLAD you will be choosing randomly and not by virtue...since clearly michaela would win, hands down!
being vera-less myself, i shall spend the ensuing week figuring out how i might "convince" the random number generator to PICK MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE! (in a totally fair and equitable* way, of course!) :)
when that works (as clearly it will...b/c i just have a feeling that at some point during his "wild-n-crazy" beta-testing days, the random number generator may have posed for pictures that, while not outrageously naughty, he would still prefer *MRS* random number generator never see...!) i shall be opting for a traditional (but in no way boring) tan-and-brown monkee color scheme, in the yarn and gauge of your choosing.
btw, i don't see why already having a perfectly good comment-posting name of my own should rob me of the fun others are enjoying making one up, therefore, when ahem *IF* i win, you may address me as mona monkeewanter!
and now i am off to practice looking surprised and gracious in victory. but first, please allow me to wish the happiest of christmases to all at monkee towers!!!
*fair & equitable...to me...obviously! :)
A stunt monkee of my very own? Such an enticing thought. He'd be well treated no matter if he was classic 007 (for preference) or made out of odd scog ends of wool, so he looked like the runty mongrel cats who get left in leaky sheds in the rain.
meantimes - Merry Christmas!!
Jo
I know what it's like to have a huge pile of laundry. :p Hm. For myself, I'd like a pink-bodied monkey.
obviously I would love a monkee, and a classic brown would be perfect, but more importantly a happy christmas to you and your monkees and family, and thank you for your blog, it regularly brightens my day!
and if you make me a monkee I'll make you some mug cosies in return, also in your choice of colour!!
Good morning,
I love visiting your blog and I love 007. "Please enter me in your giveaway." Merry Christmas!
Laura C.
Not for me you understand...but DAVE is putting together a band and needs a drummer,he's thinking...(just hold on as he's relaying the message)............)
Obviously not as smooth and sofithtucated as Dave....(his spelling not mine btw)..more of a furry hairy biker style, not out of place in the biggest ROCK band going.
One guess where DAVE will be on Sunday...until then.....Have a Monkee Merry Christmas...xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Alf, the new addition to the mad knitted household (see blog!) would love a monkee companion. He reckons a very hairy one would be very welcome, as he knows how much I hate hairy yarn!
Hope you and yours have a fab Christmas xxx
Merry Monkee Christmas to you all (and you , Wicked Witch - I'm watching you so behave!!!)
Any combination of Orange Yellow and Red for my monkee. He would be my mascot. I am sure he would bring me lots of good luck!!
Just as you and all your monkees bring me lots of smiles.
Hope you all have a lovely Christmas and look forward to more monkee capers in the New Year.
Peace and Blessings*
Dear Ms Monkey maker , I hope you and yours have a happy and safe Christmas. Perhaps keep 007 away from the alcohol???
Of course i would love a monkey like everyone else but would be happy to leave all monkey-decisions in your expert hands.
Oooooooooh! what a prize, I'm thinking of giving my pink monkee to my sister (to be honest he does very little apart from lounge around the living room with a satisfied smile)and a really proper truly special Monkee Maker Monkee would be much more fun about the place - I see you have some very pink and some fluffy pink wool which would be particularly fantastically fab to have a Monkee in! A very merry monkee Christmas to you and all the monkees I look forward to another year of monkee madness!(gosh just how many times can you get 'monkee' into a comment?!?)
I would dearly love a pink lady Monkey so that Colin the ape who resides next door with Gigibird could have a love interest. I would call her Strawberry Suzi and let Colin have his primate way with her, whilst Gigibird and I drank Schnapps and ate buns thinking up names for their tiny primate babies....so yes, please enter me in the comp!! The Neighbour x
Congratulations on your 200th post!!
Would be grateful for any monkey I could get my sticky mits on....maybe pink or 007 style, but of course beggars can't be choosers!!
Hope you all have a wicked Xmas at Monkee Central! Looking forward to the next 200 posts :o)
hehehe that's such a cute Christmas picture of 007!!! :)
YAY for another give-away; I'm so excited. :)
Congratulations on your 200th post!!!
Merry Christmas to you and yours! Wishing you much Monkee success in the New Year!!
Merry Christmas and congratulations on your 200th post. I never win anything so am unlikely to be picked by your random number generator but wanted to drop by and say thank you for all the laughs you have given me this year. (Nice stash by the way)
Denise
I just want to say I love your monkeys. If I win, I would like a HP22 blue, pink, and purple monkey like the on in your shop Monkees 4 u. I love the colors and I think the design is cute :)
I would love my very own stunt monkee. I would like any kind of monkee. If I had to pick, I'd choose this one...

Nicola
Well Monkey Maker, I would dearly love one of your monkeys. They are so very cutely! My sister, Stine, has told me of your blog. That's why I'm here. I've been enjoying reading here for a while now. I especially like the 007 style. Stine is away on hols at the mo, but I'm sure will put in her .02 worth when she returns...From Robyn in the Northwoods
That pile of laundry ? It's nothing compared to mine :-(
If I win (if) couldn you make me one to do the laundry for me ? I think combat colors would be best then !!!
Merry Christmas wishes from me and HP15.
Dear Santa Monkee.
I THINK I have been good this year :>)
If you are able to see Monkee Maker for me, (well, if my email is the *lucky* one) please tell her that I would like a Purple and Yellow monkee.
I am not at all fussed by the combiation she comes up with, just purple and yellow please (again)
thank you Monkee Maker, seriously for bringing a little levity into my blogiverse!!
.....and I hope you get all you asked for from the Great Monkee (oh dear, I think that bit was channeling Charlie Brown....)
I would really love a 007 monkey, my husband dressed in the 007 white tuxedo jacket and black trousers for our wedding, i think it would look just like him :0)
OOoo my very own monkee without having to knit! I just finished knitting the 2nd scarf last night so not quite up to monkees just yet. My sock mountain just contains odd socks - how does that happen? I would love and pamper a nice smooth green monkey.
Have a very Happy Christmas. x
Oh my lots of comments, still if its a chance to get my boy a Monkey I am willing to jump on board...PURPLE...yep its his favourite colour and its visable so should not get lost!
Anyway I also want to wish you a Very Happy Christmas, to thank you for making me smile on a regular basis and also for yhe great supportive comments on my pictures.
Have a ball...or two!!!
Suzie Sews
Congratulations on your 200th post! I'm another reader who found you through Little Cotton Rabbits. I am lucky to have two of Julie's knitted treasures and would love to have a monkey to add to my menagerie! I saw a little monkey in your shop that was knitted with merino wool in traditional monkey colors - that would be my pick should I be fortunate enough to win. If not, I'll be here with bells on the next time you open your shop!
Happy Christmas!
Merry Christmas to you and your family and to your monkeefamily! I like all colours, all kinds of monkees, I would loooove to win one, my son adores your monkees (and I can't get myself to knitting one..)
greetings from hilde (who's absolutely not embarrassed to admit reading a knittedmonkeeblog!!!
Who would be embarrassed to be reading a Monkee blog??? Tell me who, and we'll and 007 have a 'talk' with them. ;-)
I have a friend with a 3-month old who would LOVE a Monkee. I'm curious how a black and pink stunt Monkee would look.
Merry Christmas!
Have a fab Christmas Kerry and a very merry new year with much monkey business and wine. All the very best xxx
by the way - my friends loved the 007 cards, it was a wrench to hand them out although I've kept two of them for myself!
Hello Monkee Maker,I am de-lurking to congratulate you on your 200th post ( love your Monkee story's)and wish you and your family a very merry Christmas . I would really love a fluffy pink Monkee !!
I'm very glad you took my advice on the sock/pant cull - you need to show 'em who is boss (and also get rid of the really holey socks and the somewhat raggy-arsed undies - we all have them - do not feel the shame lol).
Happy 200th Postiversary - if I'm lucky enough to be selected by random number generator (and bear in mind my record with this kind of thing is only winning a raffle once in my life - the prize being a packet of cigs and me a non-smoker ...) I would love me a shocking pink monkee (2 balls top right fr'instance match my hair so a stunt monkey could maybe secrete themselves about my head) - but I'd be happy with any monkee goodness at all.
Have a fabulous Christmas
E xxxx
Merry Christmas!!!
Please enter me in the stunt monkee giveaway. You can never have enough monkees at home, I'm finding. Nos. 4 and 14 seem to be enjoying life here.
Merry Christmas and a very happy new Year!
Thank you for all the time and energy on the fun blog. :) Congratulations on your 200th post!
Should I be the lucky winner, I would love to have an HP6 duplicate. :)
Merry Christmas!
And please random number generator, pick me! I'd love a stunt monkee in the classic 007 style. But he could maybe use a little extra courage knit in. Any monkee coming to my house would be living with a couple of canine hooligans and one Grinchy feline. It would truly be a party house, though.
Merry Christmas :)
Merry Christmas MM and the menagerie.. I'm going to have a bash at making an 007 twin next year.
I would LOVE a grey and brown monkee to finally heal me of my flu. I mean, it was great to come out to England for x-mas and be with my parents, but I got a slight cold back in Portugal, transported it to England, and have kept up an interminable display of icky tissues throughout the house. And I didn't even get snow for my troubles - just a very cold and wet christmas... Please give me a monkee for new year's!! Please please please... PLEASE!
Merry Christmas Kerry and family, from Australia. I too have only recently discovered your blog via another crafty (sewing, not cunning) (altho she is that, too !) friend, and I enjoy reading it and seeing your photos.
Alas,a part time job, 3 children,an aussie RGH, pets, computers and laundry baskets full of clean but unfolded clothes mean no sewing room for me.
So I have commandeered a wall of the family room for an ikea bookcase full of my books and magazines and current WIPs and an old chest for all my fat quarters.
I don't think liking stunt monkees is weird... not when I belong to a group of women called The Barbie Girls, because we think Barbie is an inspiration to the modern woman as she is constantly re-inventing herself, (think cosmonaut Barbie, rockstar Barbie, CEO Barbie. There is no such thing as stressed Barbie, depressed Barbie or menopause Barbie), and she doesn't need Ken to feel a success. After all, she has
the mobile home, the horse float, the convertible AND the house in Malibu.
So no, I think liking stunt monkees is perfectly acceptable and quite normal actually.
If I win, I would love one in any of your stash yarn you feel is saying "Pick me! Pick me! I want to emigrate to Australia!"
Cheers and best wishes to you and all your readers for 2008
Merry Christmas from Australia
I have only recently discovered your site through a crafty (sewing, not cunning ) friend. (Hi Leanne.)
I am not ashamed to admit to liking stunt monkees.
Perhaps this is because I belong to a coffee group called the Barbie girls who think Barbie is actually an inspiration to the modern day woman.(always re-inventing herself, think rockstar Barbie, cosmonaut Barbie, CEO Barbie ) always in control ( no such thing as stressed Barbie, depressed Barbie, menopause Barbie ) and she is a success without Ken. After all, she ended up with the convertible, the horse float AND the house in Malibu.
So no, I think liking stunt monkees is perfectly normal and very acceptable behaviour.
I would love one of your stunt monkees, in whatever of your stash yarns is saying to you "Pick me ! Pick me to emigrate to Australia "
Best wishes to you, your family and all your readers for 2008
How embarrassing. You can tell I'm new to this. I thought my first comment had been lost in cyberspace. Took me about 2 hours to type the jolly thing too.Sorry for the duplication.
My 14 year old would be appalled that now the entire world knows I suck at computers.
New year's resolution...buy Blogging for Dummies.
Merry Christmas!
I would love to be entered to win one of your Monkees! I would love any color of Monkee in 007 style.....I think the hot pinkish color would be especially fun!
I would like to say that I would be nice and donate it/give it to someone else, but well, I am not that nice because I don't even have my own monkee! I know, that is a tragedy. If I DID have my very own, well then I could think about being nice and giving it away.
I am also not ashamed to admit I read a blog about Monkees(anyone that really KNOWS me, would not be surprised at all).
Oh I nearly got comment 69 maybe I will get a stunt monkey instead.
Have a great new year.
Sara
OOoh I'd love a Monkee, I'm not sure what yarn I'd chose, would have to come back and look at your stash, or really would love for you just to surprise me :) I like surprises. Hope you've all had a wonderful Christmas. I miss christmas cake at this time of year (don't dare make one cos no one else likes it and I'd have to eat the lot!) They laugh at 'fruit cake' here in the USA :-/
All the Best for 2008
Denise
I always find myself laughing out loud when reading your blog...Merry Christmas MonkeeMaker. If I'm so lucky to be the winner, I'd love a fuzzy monkee...
Agggrrrr! That was me (Charmaine) who just posted at 19:37
Happy Holidays! If I am lucky enough to be the winner of your monkee giveaway, I would love a classic 007 style or a red monkee...Thank you for sharing your whit and humor with us all, your monkee madness brings me much laughter and enjoyment!
I would *love* to have a HP24 lookalike if we were to be drawn :)
kathy
only 3 comments - not likely, look at all these comments above mine. We've all gone Monkey mad!
Mr Monda loves his monkey and I am quite glad not to be having to hide him or keep him a secret any longer than I had to. I've posted a pic of him on my blog peeking out of Mr Monda's stocking. I don't think we have a name yet though (although i suspect we will call him buttons - you know why of course).
Paying to get into Wales - hmm, I've always thought this was a bit of a raw deal to be honest - especially as this is the main road into south wales. I just paid (twice) to use the M6 toll on a trip up to Manchester but did this quite gladly as it was 22nd December and the traffic was frankly awful, but at least I had the choice. I'm getting off the soapbox now.
I'd love a monkey for me - and I'm happy to have any type if I'm the lucky winner, but i do like the really hairy variety best.
Hope you and yours had a lovely Christmas :o)
Monda
x
Hi Kerry hope you had a great christmas.
Well no3 son Jake would love any kind of monkey, any colour because he really thinks that monkees need to try out skiing AND we have lots and lots of snow.
Unfortunately his mum only managed to knit one leg before xmas day!:0(
He tried very hard no to show his disappointement at not having a monkee in his xmas stocking and I am sure he will forgive me soon;0)
Hope you have a great New Year.
P.S your socks and pants mountain looks perfectly normal to me.
OOH OOH OOH I would love to have any one of your monkeys, your choice! Love the blog and the humour, are you around the Wilthsire area? We live in Crudwell. Can't knit to save myself but I can sew and wood carve. Happy New Year
Blimey! that's an awful lot of comments! I don't fancy my chances in this drawer :)
But, should I win I'd like a surprise monkee! ;)
Happy new year all! (and I have a sock and pant mountain to almost rival that one!)
Congrats on the 200th post! I would be willing to issue a special visa to a Monkee in need of asylum. As you are probably aware, we do not enforce apartheid on the Monkey Bus, so any colour would be welcomed; the only stipulation is that it be inoculated against muffinitis. We live in a muffin free zone, and we would like to keep it that way.
Happy Christmas to you and your lot. Hope New Year brings everything you want.
I need help......... no not the mental kind. I've muddled my way through the pattern on your blog and knitted my own monkey BUT I can't understand how to sew him/her/it? up!!!! Now if I had an expertly joined one to use as a model then I am sure it would help - creep, creep.
So please Monkee Maker can you knit me an orange one?
Lots of rrrrrrrespect
TraceyR x
Merry Christmas, Kerry! How sweet are you? I'm throwing my lot in for a 007 look-alike.
Tina
Hi MM hope you had a good Christmas full of fun and festive cheer. I would love to win a monkee, first choice would be purple or a multi coloured one please. Jane x
Hello.
I think a green monkee would be a good idea. HP26 lives at our house but my little sister loves him so much that i never get to hang out with him. I love frogs so if he was green the monkey could hide in my frog collection and escape from Lucy!
I think all your monkees are brilliant.
Love Meg X
Happy 200th post, MM :o)
If you keep this stirling work up, it won't be very long until you hit your 200th monkee anniversary, too... hooray! ;o)
VCxx
Rushed back from a week away for our Christmas Festering in order to catch up with the Monkees and discover I nearly missed a competition. Please add me to the draw! Don't know what colour I need yet, will have to consult the other simians in the household in order not to cause any drama or upset because the Monkee was a better colour or something.
A belated Merry Christmas and an early Happy New Year.
Karen
Love 007! He's the best ever!! Congratulations on your 200th blog--your writing is so funny! Thanks and Happy New Year!!
My own monkey made of knit. I want one. No, I NEED one. Come-on random number generator, pick me!
Also? I enjoy your blog very much.
I wish you and your family a happy and prosperous new year.
I'd love to enter the stunt monkey giveaway..
since I've been on vacation, I didn't see this post. if its not toooo late for an entry. . . an 007 monkee in black of whatever size would do nicely for me thanks.
A belated Happy Christmas to you and yours.
When you get a chance, have a look at my new addition.
Is it too late to enter this give away? I would sooo much like a monkey, well I would, but if I get one I would like to pass it on to one of your biggest fan and she loves green. (Can't tell you her name cause she of cause read your blog) I love your monkeys too, but maybe I can try to knit one for myself... Happy New Year to you!
MM,
NBM here to enter your comp. I request a monkee (or minkey as my crazy uncle would say, as he is a minkey lover) with a body made from the blue/purple/black variagated wool in thetop left of your piccy, and nose/feet/hands made from the blue/purple/white variagated wool just to the right of the middle of the picture please. :o)
(Do I get points for ingenious design and also for having a huge bonce?? See my reply to your comment on VCs blog re: the Christmas hats)
Cheers,
NBM xx
gee whiz there are a lot of people into knitted stunt monkeys.
i'll throw my hat into the ring for a 007-style monkey, maybe with acrylic yarn.
