Well, not quite a thousand, but so many people have sent me pictures or goodies recently, which I need to start show and telling. I'll try to do it in order, with one or two per post.
Firstly, thanks to Rosemary for this picture of her Chimp ......
..... and to her daughter, who made this fabulous sock monkey for her brother for Christmas .....
Thanks, also to Ann, who sent me this picture of her latest monkey, Hopper, named after the painter Edward Hopper, apparently.
I didn't know who Edward Hopper was, so I googled him and came across this painting .....
..... which kind of reminds me of RGH. I think it's the leg muscles and the dark hair ..... and possibly the nose .....
Finally for today, I just wanted to post pictures of these receipts showing two deposits to the Ellie Wiseman trust fund (just to keep it all above board) .....
(amazing - who knew that Paypal were fans of monkees made of knit?!)
Thanks to Suzie and Gladys who donated after the raffle was over, the total raised was £402.00, which is an amazing amount. Many Thanks to everyone who donated.

Aaaaaah! I am glad you have raised this issue and yo may well find that this medical facility is able to offer you help and assistance.
Generally the suggested remedy for Monkee Fatigue Syndrome is crubbish soap/sitcom telly, accompanied by a bottle of fermented grape juice (pref. sparkly) followed by a wallow in a giant, super-sized vat of very lovely super-softy yarn. The explosion of texture and colour are meant to stimulate the monkee producuing glands.
It is always assumed by we in the medical profession that this will radically alter the outcome to M.F.S.
Sadly at this point we have no means of altering the outcome of D.F.S.
Hopper and Kaduuk are very proud to be in your latest collage.
They'd love to congratulate you for finding the ugliest Hopper painting. We did not even know that one.
The monkeys are more into the "Nighthawks" painting. Or the Gas Station painting, gas stations are fun for monkeying around too. Snifffff ...

Oh MFS, yes well known and unfortunately only time will heal it. As a sufferer of DSF I sympathise.
Super well done on the raffle - you rock !
Great work MM in raising such a fantastic amount for Ellie's fund - you are a star!!!
Great Monkee photos!! The only cure for MFS is chocolate and wine and plenty of it - sadly ;)
xxx
Hmmmm, I'm wondering if your MFS is somehow a 'cousin' of the LSD (Lazy Slut Disorder) from which I suffer. Mine is congenital - I inherited the gene from my mother (thank God she won't read this - she'd kill me).
Many congratulations on raising oodles of dosh for Ellie.
I'm loving these collages you're making with Picasa - I'm going to have to learn how to do them myself aren't I? Trouble is, the LSD is kind of interefering in that whole process.
x
Love Hopper - both the artist and the monkey. We recently attended a showing of his (artist not monkey) work at the National Gallery - just beautiful!
ps: who knew RGH was both film star AND painter's model?
pps: Kitty is one bloggy bit shy of a published post (LSD!)
What a great total for the Ellie Wiseman Trust! I love your monkees :)
Lazy Slut Disorder - at last there is a name to what I am suffering from....there might even be a local support group of Lazy Sluts I could join....but probably not as we'd all be too lazy to organise one:)
Is there a lot of monkeys or have I been at the cooking sherry again?
We're nearly there! No quite so secret now thank you parcel nearly complete! First item never did find its way to me after all so boo hoo to that but hey one more bit to arrive and then Im DONE.
And then I can send it to you in the hope that the damn thing arrives way hey!!
get your knitting needles out woman and stop being so slack!
Wow. That's a lot of monkee love. :)
By the way, Hopper and your husband do look somewhat similar. ;)
WoW! You really rocked for Ellie! I hope it helps her!!!
Love the monkee photos everyone shared!
ooh monkeys monkeys! Lotsa monkeys!
MFS had to set in sooner or later. I dpn't know how you've kept it up so long.
the cure? it's obvious isn't it? a trip to the yarn shop!
I agree with Joanne above - I'm amazed you managed to avoid MFS so long - your productivity has been amazingly impressive! And I agree with Trash on the obvious cure.
Take care, Lucy x
Well done you for raising so much money for Ellie - very impressive achievement :o)
And hurrah for all those monkeys... so great to see that they are indeed taking over the world. Slowly but surely.
VCxx
I suppose MFS had to set in sometime.
Glad to see I'm not the only one with LSD. I would say we could set up a help group - but I don't really want to be helped. I'm quite happy being lazy and slutty and disordered.
Get those monkee needles going girl. The world needs them
I had to laugh at your comment on Miss Lockets post about putting on "shows" I know that feeling of wanting to hide, but perhaps she's got the right idea to allow some craft to be done while watching...Sorry, I'm off to read your lastest post now, but just wanted to share that with you.
MFS - I'm sure the best cure would be some more wool. I would love to be the mother of one of those monkeys one day. Please make more...please
BEWARE Knitted monkee world domination is getting closer.
Great pics of all the monkeys! Wow and congrats on the raffle! Umm... MFS, yes I readily agree with above commenter fermented grapes and chocolate cures all ills!!
