My blog is one year old today.
I've had a brilliant year of blogging, mostly about knitted monkeys, and I'd like to thank everyone who has stopped by during the past year, and especially those who have commented on one or more of my 261 blog posts.

(I seem to have developed a bit of a crush .... I'm not sure which one on though ....)I think that in this past year I've done as much public monkee-ing around as it's possible for a young woman slightly deranged 39 year old to do, so I've decided to hang up my monkee (not literally, for a change) and take a bit of a blogging break.
I'm feeling the need to step away from the computer and do something else for a bit. Maybe pick up a book, or just lie on the sofa of an evening having my head scratched, like I used to in the pre-blogging days (monkee by name, monkee by nature).

I've read all your post and I'll be missing 007 and the gang. Blogging is timeconsuming, that's true. After a year of making such a great job and entertainig all MM fans you surely deserve to have a break. So grab a book and a cup cake (or chocolate, or pizza, or whatever you like) and enjoy it. AAAARRRRRGGGGHHHH NOOOOOoooooo! 007 cannot disappear from our lives! I only just found him and he and you have inspired me so much that I'm knitting Miss Monkeepenny! I just finished her third ear :o( I have wonderful plans for her and she's madly in love (with you know who..) even though she's not been born yet.
Oh dear, this is dire news. We hope you'll miss blogging soo much after a weekend off that you'll be right back with 007 and Greg - I don't think they'll be content with lying on the couch getting head scritches.

It was so good to hear from you! I'm glad you got to see the Kokeshi Show and am blushing at your kind comments about mine! I loved Diane's! It was fun to do and I did get a lot of entries... more from people who don't usually come to my blog which was sort of funny. My regular blogging friends seemed to be too busy partly because it was just the start of summer break. I might do another one in August. Also... my family used to have a vw camper van and we fit 5 people in it!!! Though three of us were little kids. You'd be amazed at how many people they sleep!
So I hope you are enjoying your summer and your break. We miss you a lot!!!!!!!
