Has anyone seen Dave?

Not this Dave, but the relatively new TV channel which, as far as I can tell is all about repeats and classic shows, such as Whose Line is it Anyway? The RBD's have started watching it and it's taken me right back to the 90's as RGH and I used to be big fans and one year went to watch it live.

I particularly liked Ryan Stiles and now the girls are following suit and think he's fab, although I don't think they share the teeny tiny crush I had on Richard Vranch at the piano.

To be honest though, I'm not sure if it's a good thing or slightly worrying that they've inherited our sense of humour. Who knows what they could be blogging about in future years .....

Talking of TV shows, (do you see what I'm doing here - linkist extraordinaire, me) much kudos to Lucy Locket Pocket who's only been and gone and had one of her fabulous kiddies blankets featured on I'm a Celebrity ..... ! Well done that girl!

Obviously I'm chuffed for her, but I can't help being a tad jealous that it wasn't one of my monkees swinging through those jungle trees. Maybe next year. If he can ever get out of this .....

(There - I just did it again - I subtly brought the whole topic back round to monkees, without you even noticing!)

TALKING OF WHICH ...... thanks very much to Cheryl, who let me know that Cupcake (formerly known as HP17) has safely arrived in Singapore and sent me these pictures ......

Cupcake, in very good company, with among others, Hessie, a Little Cotton Rabbit

..... getting ready to hit the shops ......

..... enjoying green tea and being stared at in a Japanese restaurant .....

..... and the stunning night view from Cheryl's and Cupcake's apartment .....

Apparently, after Christmas, Cupcake is planning an expedition up Mount Kinabalu (the 4th tallest mountain in South-east Asia), so I hope she remembers to pack her camera!

In other monkee news, finally HP18 arrived safely at Viv's in Germany, after a worryingly long trip, and Marianne, in the Netherlands has found that HP15 is already making mischief! And I'm so happy that Bea, in Norway, is happy with her Monkee tote bag.

Looks like the whole world domination plan is beginning to pay off.

Speaking of which (that's the last one, I promise!), I'm hoping to have more monkees made of knit ready to be released early next week, so I will post pictures on here beforehand, and email anyone on my monkee mailing list shortly.

Today's thought for the day ......

..... I don't care ..... just give me some NOW!! (please)

We have a song named Flappie. It is about a father and child. The child is singing about his rabbit, who has gone missing on Christmas day, and guess what is on the menu at Christmas? Yes, very very sad, the rabbit. Next morning, daddy is missing... guess what they had for dinner that day? I just want to say; if your daughters have the same sense of humour..., you really should be happy;-) But about the other bloggers I don't know, maybe they like this song too and since you are upsetting them with all your woe stories about monkeys...

Im thinking that perhaps, in the styley of Dr Who type thing, that inside all these monkees you have installed some sort of brain washing device, that when they are distributed around the world, that you will activate said device, they will all say one common word, enslave the population and you will enjoy world domination.

Im also thinking perhaps that sentence was far too long and needs pruning but Im not at work yet so need not worry about the grammarism of it all. Were you tired in your head reading it?

Im still holding out for monkee
socks.

Most impressive ultra-smooth linkism occurring over there today MM. Good to see the monkees are spreading far and wide. Marianne's new friend is particularly gorgeous - Ruby is google-eyed with amourous monkee stirrings. Or maybe she's just goggle-eyed.
As for your thought for the day - I need both and I need them now!!!

p.s. re RBD's prospects as future bloggers - do they knit?

Monkee world domination is certainly progressing nicely! They do get around - well done you! My own contribution to monkeedom now has a starring role on my own blog.

Used to love whose line....

Weirdly (looking back at it now) I thought Tony Slattery was quite fanciable.

Love the linking.

and to join the complaints about word verification - xsvbowcw huh?

Morning Linking-Queen! Thanks for the mention by the way! I haven't had any other celebrities beating their way to my door yet but no doubt I will tell you all as soon as they do!!!!!

Off to do battle with Toys'r'crubbish over a broken Karaoke machine!

Take care and stop tormenting 007.

Oooh, I too shared that teeny crush on Richard Vranch. Did you know he has a MySpace? Don't know how to do fancy linky-doo-dahs in comment boxes, so you'll have to copy and paste instead of clicking. Sorry about that:~

Just last night I was watching Whose Line on Dave and having a bit of a reminisce, and funnily enough I was wondering whether the very amusing Ryan Stiles had his own website... so your post today is spookily helpful in its timing. Thanks for doing the legwork :o)

While you're being so useful: could you tell me how to get the blimmin hoedown tune out of my head?? Only it's been there all day...

I love Dave - odd name for a tv channel though!? - I used to have a thing for Tony Slattery (whose line..) but I really can't see why now?! Can I be on the monkey mailing list - then if my pc plays up with blogspot I'll do my best to find someone elses to try and bag myself a monkee!
