Didn't we have a lovely time .....

..... the weekend we went to Tenby? Why, yes we did actually, thanks for asking.

I took a monkee with me ......

...... and a muffin ......

..... and two Rather Beautiful - if slightly embarrassed - Daughters......

...... and a Rather Geeky Husband ......

...... but more of that another day. Today is all about a little girl called Ellie and the raffle I've been holding over the last week to help raise funds for her to visit some specialists in America.

Thanks to all the very generous people who have contributed, I have so far sold 368 raffle tickets, so have raised £368.00. Many thanks to everyone who has contributed - this is an incredible amount, and much more than I originally thought I'd achieve.

If anyone would still like to buy any tickets, you have until about 5 pm tonight (UK time - I'll post again when the draw is closed) and I'll film the draw and post it this evening. For information about Ellie and the prizes on offer please click here, and I'm happy to report that my fingers were busy over the weekend and I now have six of these little beasties to include in the prizes ......

..... knitted muffin, anyone? .....

oooo! Weren't you busy? Sounds like a fabulous way to spend a weekend....

.... embarrass your children.
.... knit muffins (and therefore embarrass your daughters)
.... walk on the beach with your husband (and therefore embarrass your daughters.)
.... breathe (and therefore.....)

Hope you got my email.

Glad you had a good time at the beach!!

How kind of you to make the non-fat, no-calorie type muffins for the raffle! Do all of them look as if they are scared spitless? I should hope so as I would imagine that monkees made of knit could eat muffins made of knit!!!

Did Monkee have a grand timat the beach! Looks like he had a relaxing time.

Good work with the raffle! Here's hoping!!

Lovely pictures of Tenby - I haven't been there since I was a child. It still looks fab.

A very big WELL DONE YOU on raising that much dosh for Ellie - hopefully she will soon have what she needs to go to the States and see some clever people who can help her.

I'd say you had wonderful muffins, but it sounds kind of rude and personal, so I won't. :-D

That is fantastic raising so much money. I tell my children, that the whole point of having children is so you can embarass them!, my youngest says he won't embarass his children.Oh yeah right! Keep on embarassing it's characteur building. x

Looks like you had a great time. Both my kids act like they are embarrassed of me, but I am just getting them back for all the tantrums and all the asking of weird-questions-asked-in- public when they were young, that they embarrassed me with. (That's my excuse and I'm sticking too it!)

Yey for the £368. That's a great total (and hopefully more added before the day is out).

I haven't been to Tenby for years. Many a childhood holiday spent there though. Great photos. I love the shot of RGH.

Eagerly awaiting the draw - I'm still hankering after the silver back :)

I think you've infected me with your monkee making disease too - I'm already half way through my first one and can tell I'm going to be addicted! I should never go blog hopping, it only leads to badness.... and knitted things!
