Oh this is bad ......

...... this is very bad. In fact it's excrutiating ...... but I said I'd do it so I am. Remind me never to film a draw EVER AGAIN!! It's so bad that I wanted to scrap it and do it again in silent movie mode, but RGH said that would be cheating. So I didn't.

A few things though .....

  • I strongly recommend that you skip this horrendous clip and scroll straight down to the winners.

  • I don't normally sound like that.

  • I do really.
  • I'm not normally such a nag.

  • I am really.
  • I'm so embarrassed I may never be able to blog again.
  • Not really.
  • But nearly.

  • You may want to have some loud music playing while viewing.

  • Or you could skip right down through this, as previously mentioned.

  • You have been warned ......

Updated to add : Phew! I think .... it finally worked. I chopped 20 seconds off the beginning (luckily for you) but it's still 3 minutes and 14 seconds of home movie. Bad home movie. I wouldn't bother watching it if I was you.

Sorry if your number wasn't picked (it's all RGH's fault!) and if it was, can you please mail a forwarding address to me at monkeemaker@yahoo.co.uk and I'll post your prize off on Wednesday.

1st prize - HP38 - Ticket no. 268 - Kate W.

2nd prize - Monkee Tote - Ticket no. 36 - Patti

3rd prizes - Muffins - Ticket nos. 256, 136, 185, 352, 129, 303 - Martine, Michaela, Catherine T., French Knots, Jackie M. and Mrs Pao.

4th prize - 007 moo cards in a frame - Ticket no. 323 - Gina

5th prize - Stripey notebook and clips - Ticket no. 58 - Angela

6th prize - Spotty notebook and clips - Ticket no. 193 - Jackie T.

7th prize - Monkey tin and clips - Ticket no. 292 - Elaine P.

Finally, THANK YOU all for taking part in this raffle to raise money for the very lovely Ellie .... I'm off to Paypal to take my balance right back down to where it should be ..... I felt quite wealthy there for a while .....

..... and I think it's about time I put away the muffin recipe and got back to the very important business of knitting monkees ......

Heh heh - I really enjoyed the video! The bongos were a nice touch and your voice sounds really like Linda Smith's- spooky!

p.s. don't know if you got my pigeon e-mail but I wanted to give yours a rugby shirt but won't have time or a sewing machine for the next 4 months! If it's ok with you I'll make up for it by putting some extras in the box x

well i can *honestly* say that is BY FAR the best video i have seen all day!!! :)

no seriously, it puts me in mind of the great acting/directing partnerships throughout film history: de niro & scorsese...bogart & huston...mike leigh & brenda blethyn...but you know...with more monkees!!!

(and frankly ALL of said partnerships could have benefited from some judicious bongo solos, as well! i've always felt that was the one thing missing in "mean streets"...bongos...)

congrats to all the winners! and hearty cheers to you, MM, for being such a very VERY kind & generous person!!!

Your hubby is hilarious (and I mean that in a nice way!) I loved how he kept mixing up the tickets between every raffle! and loved listening to his 'banter'. Being in the states it's not often I get to hear an accent from 'home'. Loved it! Sorry I didn't get to take part in the raffle - had a busy week.
Congrats to all the lucky winners.

Well done for raising such a fantastic sum,and congratulations to all the winners.Due to a technical hitch by someone who shall remain nameless but who will be getting her legs slapped the next time she is home, my contribution did not reach you in time for the draw but is hopefully on its way to you now to be added to your total.

Hmmmm ... I thought I'd left a comment here this morning, but no ... I must have imagined it all (rather like the death of Bobby Ewing in Dallas?)

I gathered the kids round to watch your video - we were all terribly impressed (at home RGH didn't mind at all being nagged to get a move on). I feel a whole new career coming on for you MM - good luck at the Oscars!

Seriously, it was a lovely thing you did - well done to all the winners, and well done you for dreaming up the whole thing. x

Aaaaaah! Don't worry, I also have a sad sense of humour! I had a good chuckle at your comment and then the panic set in that you might actually want a shirt and if I sent a naked pigeon you would send me monkee bombs in the post so thought I'd better check! That's a huge relief!
Apologies for the delay, I did receive your payment (thank you!) but I didn't know you could send comments via PayPal so missed that - sorry! Mr. P will be on his way to Bristol tomorrow (as will I but via easyjet, not in a box) so if you could let me know when he arrives safely that would be great (:>

I had to watch the video.. Poor man, you keep correcting him all the time(he's probably used to it?) *lol*

Making thing without a pattern is no problem as long as you keep it simple, so it's not really that fantastic, you know.. hehe..

I didn't win, but I don't care, it was worth the entry money for that video!! bless him! does RGH bake, as he has a rather effective rubbing in method going on there, would make great shortcrust pastry I reckon!! lol

and you sound so normal MM, not at all deranged!!

well done for organising all this, sorry i missed it, have not been blogging much lately!, i thought you sounded very nice on the film, and has rgh ever thought about game show presenting?!

Dear Monkee maker - you are amazing and i giggled all the way through that - it looks and sounds like you were both having so much fun.
Well done for such a great idea and fundraiser. I'm patting you on the back and handing you a glass of wine!

Lucky winners : )
You need to submit it as an application to Project Green Light - who knows, you might just have Matt Damon and Ben Aflac (sp?) funding your next film!

ps: Michaela said to send her prize to me. Really. She did.
