Chocolate. Monkees. Chocolate. Corsages.

Have you seen this advert for Lynx - or Axe as it's called in other countries?

Apparently the advertisers are working on a girlfriend for him ......

...... they haven't got very far .....

Were that to be true, they could do worse than to ask Michaela to make her, as Michaela knows a thing or two about chocolate. She sent me a whole slab of this divine chocolate cake when I correctly guessed how many pounds she had lost one week.

How ironic that she's sworn off the stuff and yet is forcing it upon those of us with weaker wills. Force away, Michaela, force away.

Pretty soon there was only one piece left.

...... and that didn't last long.

Moving on to the Monkee segment of this post, Joe's big sis was kind enough to mail me some pictures of Toffee in his new home .....

..... he settled right in with the natives ......

...... especially this pair .......

This is what he likes best about his new pad ......

..... chilling with Joe and the Playstation ..... I think he even lets Joe win sometimes .....

(please note that I don't usually post pictures of other people's children on my blog, but I did check with Joe's parents that it was ok.) (...... hmm .... I wonder if anyone thought to check with Joe .....)

Moving seamlessly back to chocolate (and corsages), Maxine very kindly sent this pretty package and lovely card recently, as a treat for me after I organised a raffle for Ellie ......

..... it contained these beautifully soft corsages and truly decadent chocolate truffles .....

..... that tasted heavenly, especially right before my tea ..... don't tell my girls, I'd never live that one down (plus they'd have wanted one). Thank you Maxine, for such a kind thought and lovely gift.

Finally, do you need more purple in your life?

Just asking ......

(my monkee making mojo appears to be back in the room ..... phew!)

It's not possible to have too much purple in your life? Is it? If it is I might be in serious trouble. I'm stupidly excited to see the rest of that furry purpley little fella (lady?). Bizarre.

Can you send some of that mojo this way please? Mine seems to have left the building. Maybe it's taken over from yours on some weird mojo-swing-swift or something? Guarding the source of all mojo?

MM you are officially the funniest blogger I now. You always make me laugh.
I love the chocolate Lynx ad - especially the bit where the girl on the tube bites his bum.

The colour purple - hmm not really my thing but I appreciate the little blasts of colour you are treating us to at the minute, and good to hear your monkey mojo is back.

oops, I meant 'know', not 'now'.

that'll teach me not to proof read my comments before I post them. Doh!

Glad to hear you've managed to overcome your MFS - it seemed like a nasty bout - and that monkee-knitting is fun once more.

D'you think the chocolate had something to do with your recovery? If not, please keep quiet about it... because I'm planning on using this example as firm proof of the medicinal qualities of chox. OK?

Not sure about the Lynx ad tho. That guy just really creeps me out... I think it's the fixed grin he maintains while parts of him are torn off and eaten. Too weird...

Is there no limit to what these monkees made of knit can do? I think you could gain weight just looking at that chocolate cake. Oh purple - my fav colour after green that is.

I left a big long comment but Blogger has eaten it. It wasn't even a chocolate comment - just a regular wordy comment.

Lovely pictures there MM - I particularly love the card that Maxine sent you - gorgeous!

Have a good weekend. x

I agree with vicious chicken - the lynx add is a bit creepy. I'd much rather have some of that yummy chocolate cake.

Someone has already (b)eaten me to it - the bum-biting bit of the Lynx ad is my favourite. Although at the moment I'm more interested in seeing the new Abbey advert with the squirrels that I caught out of the corner of my eye the other day (I was supposed to be having a serious conversation with my own RGH and kept getting distracted as I do love the one where the rabbit picks up the carrots). Anyway, I digress - YES I need more purple in my life, ALWAYS!!

Ha! If you think that was rude, wait until you see what I can acheive from a flake and a chocolate orange! And did you see what Jonathan Ross did with a mars bar last week?

No, you aren't too late for a scone. Yes I do like butter and cream and jam on mine. And yes I'm greedy!

I'm pleased that with a good old injection of the brown stuff (that's chocolate to those who are thinking of the other brown stuff) your monkee mojo has returned:)

Great choc shots - I'm drooling!

Oh could that be a friend of Mr H as he's purple too.

Glad the MFS have finally gone.
