Marketing man's dream

I'm not sure if I've already mentioned this, but I'm rather fond of chocolate. Any chocolate really, as long as it says c-h-o-c-o-l-a-t-e on the outside and tastes divine inside, then I'm happy. And apart from the regular occasional pilgrimage to Thorntons, my usual motto is the cheaper the better.

So I don't often indulge in this .....

Yes, I know it's organic and thoroughly delicious, but when you can buy a bar of this .....

...... much more cheaply, why would you? (Especially as they're running such a cool advert at the moment)

But, when the Green & Blacks comes with it's own free mini-me bar .....

..... well then, obviously, I HAVE to buy it ......

Oh, the sweetness ..... in more ways than one .....

...... and may have to rush out after work for more "free" bars!

And while I'm on the clever marketing subject ...... another one is tape measures. Not the tailor's type that you drape round your neck, but the blokey, boring ones that retract.

RGH has loads of them knocking around here, and I've never shown the slightest bit of interest in them .....

..... but that's because none of them have flowers on!

When I saw this one I suddenly found that I desperately needed a retractable tape measure, and I needed it immediately!

In monkee news I'm afraid there is none ..... but I know other's who have some ......

Monda's marvellous monsters were recently spotted commandeering her new monkee tote, and Michaela's and Kae's bags were taken over by a monkee and munkee respectively.

And in very exciting news, my monkees have done what Robbie Williams couldn't - they've cracked America!! (Or has he now? Maybe I'm behind the pace on that one) ...... Two HP monkees arrived at Melissa's house recently - but don't tell anyone, it's meant to be a secret. Oh, and if you do visit her blog, scroll down a little bit as she's having a 100th post giveaway, and we all love those, don't we??

Free Chocolate????? Where??? Oh, damn, just remembered - my diet started yesterday (again)! Saw a funny keyring the other day. It said "One day I will diet. The other 364 days of the year I will eat whatever I like" - made me laugh a lot!

Have a good day. But don't think you can miss out monkees again! Lucy x

Eh, no, not really, although I did like that video Robbie Williams did for "Millennium", the James Bond one.

My monkee tote and sweets arrived as well. I finally had the chance to preform a study between English chocolates and Belgian ones. I'm proud to say the British ones were very nice but nothing beats Belgian chocolate : p

Thanks
Nathalie

My Monkee bag arrived - thank you!!! I've never had a Green and Black - but I bet I would like it much more than a Black and Tan.

Mmmm, Green and Blacks... and a flowery tape-measure! I was given a flowery-patterned screwdriver for my last birthday, and I have to say, such things do make DIY-type household tasks much more appealing :o)

But why oh why did you have to post the fab Phil Collins Gorilla ad - that was what I was going to post today! I'll have to think of summat else now... But I'll let you off, since it's so great. Hooray for surreal genius! Mr Cadbury: we salute you. (You might want to check out what your marketing lads have been smoking, though. I'm just saying.)

I'm not big on chocolate..... actually I can take it or leave it and I think Green & Blacks is pants. Devine is OK.
I guess I have alienated most of your readership. Sorry.
Now man tape measures.....I have a big blokey yellow one in my handbag.

I buy chocolate, put it the fridge, later I fancy chocolate, go to fridge...no chocolate...wrapper in bin, teenagers not especially hungry for evening meal...why do I bother to cook...why don't green and black make vegetable chocolate, I could just buy chocolate then!!!

Well, since reading your blog, I've consumed 1 and 1/3 bars of chocolate. I was at the store, and I normally would just pass right along, but I had the most unusual craving for fine chocolate. :) hah. Thanks...it was DELICIOUS!

Yeah, I'm a little relieved I don't look 12 anymore. It's getting a bit awkward as my husband is starting to look older...the looks we get when we go out!! :D

mmmmmmm...chocolate...mmmmmmmm...butterscotch flavored chocolate...?!?!??! i think i will have to make a small exploratory trip to the supermarket...not out of any personal chocolate-based greed you understand; just the spirit of pure scientific enquiry which lives within me!

(ps: phil collins has put on a bit of weight since i saw him last...but he seems to have conquered that "male pattern baldness" thingie rather effectively! ...good to know he's found honest work in advertising...) :)
