A tale of two monkees ..... well ..... one monkee and a back-pack

I must start this post by apologising profusely to Cyndilou, who won HP13 ages ago, and sent me this link to her flickr pictures, which showed how well the pink monkee (renamed PM, funnily enough) was settling in :- Cyndilou, I'm sorry I've been so slack in catching up with you and the PM, please forgive me! (..... was that profuse enough?)

But Cyndilou obviously doesn't hold a grudge as recently she sent me these pictures of the PM's grand day out, which started off with a train ride .....

..... I just love these back-of-the-head wing-nut shots!

PM studies the map intently ...... Hmm ..... and the banana wholesalers is where??

..... so many shops - so little time

..... new handbag anyone? Who knows ..... maybe one day Monkee Totes may be stocked in there ...... bah ha ha ha ha ha ha ha! (I crack myself up sometimes)

Cyndilou told the PM to avert his eyes going past this particular shop ......

But he just couldn't do it ..... well, he is a red-blooded monkee after-all ..... don't let all that pink fool you .....

...... hubba hubba ....... very pretty in pink!

And after all that excitement there's really only one thing for a true monkee to do ......

Forget the banana's ..... I hope there's alcohol in this!

Thanks Cyndilou, I really enjoyed catching up with the PM, and good on you for doing the monkee thing in public! Now that most of the stunt monkees have been posted off on the start the long haul to World Domination, I'm hoping to see a lot more monkee-ing around going on.

Thanks and apologies too, to Nia, who after the fiasco that was my monkee back-pack giveaway, won it and sent me this picture ......

I hope Nia doesn't feel as uncomfortable with a monkee on her back as I did.

And just before I go I must quickly thank Lucy Locket's daughter, Dot. Thanks Dot! On Lucy's recent 100 posts giveaway, all of her children wanted to pull a name from the hat, and luckily for me Dot pulled out my name. Yesterday I received this .....

..... a yummy bar of Galaxy ..... which inadvertently got ripped into before the obligatory photo shoot ..... a gorgeous hand-made card from Dot - what a crafty bunch those Lockets are! And one of Lucy's moo cards. Cheers guys!

Mmm, that shot of the Galaxy has made me peckish ..... wonder if there's any left .....

I'm beginning to think people putting pictures of their climed prizes up on their pages is a plot against those of us who never win ANYTHING!

(not that I am bitter or anything)

((Did the word verif. stand for
OH! THE JEALOUSY NEEDS EXTREME ATTENTION!!))

PM seems to be settling in fine. Do you have any recommendations for homing these monkees? Do they require any special treatment ? Lots of fruit and veg and healthy lifestyles I assume! (Not normal in our house, but I shall try)
I'm preparing now for the imminent arrival of little HP11.

Thanks for showing Dot's prize giveaway - she was chuffed! As Patti said - do we need any special instructions for re-homing mad-monkees? I imagine the healthy fruit and veg diet may come as a bit of a shock to them - aren't alcohol, chocolate and muffins more normal for them. We don't want to give them a nasty culture shock on their journey "oop north"! Lucy x

I'm surpized we don't see chocolatey monkee prints on the card(I'm not sure I could be as careful when it comes to chocolate yummy goodness).
