Two more packages .....

..... dropped onto my doormat recently. This one .....

..... from Jo ......

..... and this one .....

..... from Gina .....

After seeing some of Jo's lovely bags and doorstops on her website, I asked her if she'd make a doorstop for me. And, after giving me a choice of fabrics and size, she did .....

..... in a lovely floral mauve needle cord fabric .....

Thank you, Jo, it's great and it does exactly what it says on the tin ..... well ..... it would do if it had come in a tin .....

.... and it completely cuts out the need for this .....

And after seeing the gorgeous clutch bag that Gina made for her 100th post giveaway, I asked if she'd be able to make one for me. Luckily, she happened to have one that she'd made earlier (hmm, wonder if she's ever considered a change of career).....

..... ooh, I just love that cakey lining .....

Thank you, Gina, I'm so pleased with the bag, and the other goodies that came with it .....

Finally, I can't post today without mentioning my Rather Fabulous Sister, who is another year older than me today (titter).

Happy Birthday, Sis!

..... some sketches of my RFS through the years, from photos that I traced using my tablet and pen (I may have misled you last post when I said "copied". Oops).

.... that one on the left? That's a gun in her hand, ok? (from a picture of a paint-balling exercise we went on when we were both much younger ..... although she was obviously still older than me .....)

Happy Birthday RFS!!! My Rather Fabulous Minx has her birthday today too :)

Gorgeous purchases MM - I do love Gina's cupcake bag. It would go really nicely with my cake stand :)

Lovley as 007 the doorstop is, the shiny new purple one does its job with a lot more elegance. Love the cupcake lining on your new bag, too. And HAPPY BIRTHDAY RFS!...who seems to have had a lot of different haircuts over the years. Is that an early 90s perm I spy at the top?

Anything made in that fabric would be lush. I just lurrvvveee purple. Gorgeous bag too. Made me want a cupcake though. Hmmm.

I never tire of reminding my sister that it doesn't matter how old I am, I'll never be as old as her. There's kind of a perverse pleasure it in which clearly you appreciate ;)

Great photo/tablet action again.

Lovely makings you have received there MM - I will go check out Jo's place in a minute. As for Gina - the woman has talent oozing from every pore doesn't she?

Happy Birthday to your RFS, who will, of course, always be older than you.

When reading your post I had the feeling that your older RFS would have left a comment and not been too pleased about the photo collection! x

Lovely parcel-y goodies there MM - and I really like what you are producing with your "tablet" - very clever artworks but what on earth is a "tablet"? Have you told us already and I've missed it? Lucy x

My secret is out... I'm really Valerie Singleton! It's amazing what you can do with an old washing up bottle and a roll of sticky back plastic! The new door stop is rather lovely but I quite like the old one too!

I was going to ask you what she was holding, lol.

And that's the great thing about big sisters, no matter how old you get, they are always older ;)
something I remind my own RFS of quite frequently.

So glad you explained about the paint-balling as I was slightly concerned!!
