Great news!

Those fine purveyors of coffee and oh-so-gorgeous muffins, Coffee #1, have come up with a calorie-free raspberry and white choc chip muffin!

Sigh. As marvellous a thought as that is, sadly it's a lie ..... but I know someone who has, and it arrived in the post on Friday.

Oooh, pretty in pink

The creator of this gorgeous muffin is none other than Julie, she of the Little Cotton Rabbits fame, and I'm so touched that she came up with this beauty for me, after I ordered one of her cupcakes the last time her shop was open. Thank you, Julie.

The monkeys queued up for a slice of some knitted cake action ......

...... but they can get lost, cos it's mine! All mine!!

...... mwahhh ha ha ha ha. Mwahhh ha ha ha ha. Mwah ha ha ha ha!

(By the way, I'd love to be able to tell you that the calorie-free muffin was enough for me yesterday. But I can't.)

And in other news, work on a new monkey made of knit has come to a complete stand-still. Isn't it ironic, don't you think, that after blithely suggesting that I may start to foist my monkees on to an unsuspecting world that I then immediately get struck down with a severe bout of Monkey Fatigue Syndrome?

If this carries on I shall have to rename this blog "Used to be Monkee Maker - but isn't any more". Hmm. Catchy.

Monkey fatigue can be a nasty condition, perhaps you need to eat more banans! An alternative might be to try a new pattern to inspire you.

You need some new fancy yarn to inspire you. That and a whole load of cake and chocolate. Just don't you DARE get MFS before I've got one of your creations sitting in the Stash Basket. I am prepared to bribe you with the offer of something delicious...

Would you consider becoming a "monkee made of felt" maker - it might be quicker and less fatiguing!

I think your monkees need a knitted banana, instead. I love Julie's cupcake!! (Actually, I love pretty much everything Julie makes...) MFS sounds serious. I agree with Michaela. My son has a Little Cotton Rabbit monkey sitting around sighing and feeling lonely... A nice visit to the local yarn shop sounds like a good idea!

This is my first visit to your Blog, but it won't be my last. I had to stop reading and make myself a cup of tea because I could tell I was going to be here awhile.

Very entertaining.

Note to self - Send box of banana muffins to monkees. Owner is clearly delusional if she thinks one muffin will satisfy multiple monkees.
