Here we go again

Right. This is definitely it for a while. No really, it is. Yep. For sure. No more competitions for AGES. YONKS. Oooooh MONTHS. Well, that's what I told RGH anyway, after he read of my caption choosing fiasco yesterday and thought it may be necessary for me to go back to the day job on Wednesdays to finance my addiction to giving stuff away. He didn't actually say as much but we've been together long enough now for me to know that look.

Anyway ..... on with the competition!

Sadly, after winning the last draw Myra never came back to claim her monkey back-pack prize ......

...... here it is showing off it's ability to carry other monkeys inside itself, but if you don't happen to have any monkeys that need carrying around, how about this ......

...... surely everybody has snacks they need to transport at times.

If you're not familiar with my blog, this is why I'm giving away my back-pack made of monkey knit, and to be honest, I'll be glad when it's gone as it's only gathering dust in the spare room with Dennis, the scary sock-monkey menace.

So, for a chance to win my back-pack please leave a comment on this post. No captions for me to stress over, just a simple comment (no cruel ones thanks - you know who you are) and next Thursday I'll do another draw.

Just the one rule again, that you have to come back to check if you've won. Otherwise this pesky competition could run and run.

Oh-oh. She's trying to get rid of me again. If I just sit. very. still ......

On tomorrow's post there'll be news of HP1, who finally reached his destination safely, despite somebody inadvertently transposing the numbers in the recipients address. *Sigh* Numbers. They're all maths to me.

Ooh, ooh, I would love to provide a home to a nice monkee backpack. We maintain a decent banana stash here (although monkee would have to sort things out with the Short One who lives here and likes the odd mashed banana from time to time) and plenty of space in the backyard for monkee to roam around in.

I'd also love to give a home to your monkee backpack and will definitely be back to check - I'm a daily visitor to you blog now- I love reading about your monkee antics :D

I want to win the monkey! As I am not very lucky I might have to actually knit one myself... What yarn do you use for the fuzzy ones?

I love your blog. I promise, if the monkey backpack comes to my house, I won't get him drunk.

Very often.

Altough I find it quite sad that you feel you're too old to carry a monkey bag (as I believe we are never too old to do anything well except tube tops -- gravity and all) I would love to have the monkey bag. I recently finished my MS in Biology and gone back to school for a BS in Psychology and a monkey bag would make a wonderful addition to my dreary school books. Please give it to me, I'm the oldest student in my classes and need something to help motivate me to go. All my future patients and their mental health depend on you (no pressure right?)

I have some little monkeys of my own who would love to own that gorg backpack!

Is that a new red monkey??? No. 14??
I like the backpack, I would be sure to send you my address if my name is picked.
Good job with the contest, btw, I know you had a hard decision to make!

Love the backpack. I have a five year old daughter who would love it, and pet it, sleep with it, take it to school, and dress her up. Bananas are my monkey's favorite afterschool snack and I'm sure she'd be happy to share.

Hi. I found your blog a couple of weeks ago and now I visit every day to see what the monkeys are up to! They brighten my day!

He's adorable and I would love to adopt him!

I can't believe the poor monkey backpack was abandoned! Myra is missing out terribly! I'm also one with terrible luck. Is there any chance you'd give monkey-backpack making hints to us losers?

Marianne said...

What can I think of besides bribery to make him come and stay with me ? Bananas and muffins are already offered. Play with my goats or horse ?
I'd just love to have him, but if I don't win him I'll just have to make one myself. I think.

This is the cutest! I would promise to give the monkey a home... and if I don't win, a pattern would make a great gift for all of us losers, than Michelle and I could knit each other monkeys for christmas!

Heeerrree Little Monkee, Come on over here. I have a nice home for you.....I can't give you your own room, but I can give you new roommates who love to sing, dance, and take their favorite buddies with them everywhere....oh sure, it may involve some dress-up(no make-up yet), an occasional date with Barbie...daytrips to school...

Now look here all of you, it is quite obvious that it's me who needs this poor Monkey Back Pack more than anyone else. I need another place to hide yarn. I need another place to hide chocolate (wouldn't even mind if he ate some). I need some extra madness in my life. It's all far too sane around here. I need cheering up - afterall, I have just spent a week with my in-laws... Come on now, I'm going for the sympathy vote here!

You're never too old for monkey accessories. Now, I love all the little guys, but there's something a bit weird about a monkey with an internal pocket. Weird but still cute.

Backpack monkey, you are the best,
Even better than all the rest,
007 can't be better
Than you who can carry a letter!

Hahaha :)

(sad I know)

Oh I definitely want a chance to win this fantastic monkee. I was so bummed when I didn't win him the first go around. I am keeping my fingers crossed.

If the monkey comes here and carries snacks for me, I will SHARE the stash with him (how many M&M's do you think he can fit in his mouth at once? A lot, I'd say).

My little Dennis (not yet a menace) would just LOVE to have a monkee backpack - if only your little Dennis the Menace would share...and we promise to keep coming back to see if we've won - even if we haven't (we're faithful like that.)

I'm Back! So you'd better include me in this draw and make sure I win or there will be big trouble. I NEED a monkey backpack and my life will not be complete without it. So take note missy! Can't wait to read what you've been up to while I've been away but the children need feeding so they get priority (just this once!) Lucy x

I would love, love, love to win the back pack. One is never too old for a backpack. I am a senior citizen and I would be the talk of my friends :). I have admired y our group of monkeys for a long time. I would be honored to be picked.

Love the Monkey backpack!!
& will wear him with pride if my DD's don't fight over him first.

I would like a monkey backpack and I would sleep inside it and get my human to carry it round when I am tired. I'm only a small badger, so I reckon I'll have plenty of room for me, a hammock and some emergency chocolate for when I feel tired. Or hungry. Or bored. Or happy.

A monkey backpack? How appropriate for back-to-school! I will be the envy of everyone...if I win it. :)

the monkey backpack is the best! I would love to be in the drawing. The bag would go to one of my kids...of course...maybe...

Backpacks and face packs are very similar.......you feel a bit silly wearing them and you feel nice when you take them off.

My monkey currently looks like this:

which is a bit sad, but he is top of my list of things to finish. If I won the backpack he would have an instant friend to play with and help him defend the world from our evil yarn eating, craft-mauling puss-monsters.

Well here I do de-lurking and everything again. Anything for a fabulous Monkey bag. I had no idea Britain was soooo overrun in Monkey's. Someone should really do something about those little beasties! lol.
cheers and thanks for the chance
